I have a leak at the rear evaporator. The dealer wants to take the interior out to get at the evaporator. I never use the rear air. It is a service vehicle. Can the line to the rear air cond. Evaporator be disconnected and capped off? $1200 for something I don't use! Thanks for your help.

Hi there,

I would think it would up set the line pressures and looping the evaporator out of the system will just put high pressure refrigerant straight into the low pressure side. I would be fixing it properly.
