DO I HAVE TO TAKE SUPPORT PLATE OR BEAM OFF TO REPLACE RACK AND PINON?

remove plate at floor pan at the brake pedal, gives direct access to the roll pin.

there should be about 8 bolts and nuts size 13/16 you will need a wrench and socked wrench there are also 2 other bolts that are 18 mm after all of those are out the 2 bolts under each door hinge can be a pain to take out if rusted so to save time all i did was bent to plate down only a foot and maneuvered the rack and pinion out of place
