2003 Chrysler Town and Country check engine light

I filled up with gas and my check engine symbol cam on, do u have any idea what the cause could be?

Hi:

Was the fuel cap replaced properly? If not you most likely kicked an emission code. If it was replaced properly, did you over fill the tank? If so there may be a problem with the charcoal canister.

If the light is still on, you will need to try something. Disconnect the battery for around 30 minutes then reconnect it. With a little luck, that will reset the computer and the light will be out. If not, you will have to have the computer scanned for codes. Near me, Auto Zone does it for no charge. So, if you have an auto zone near by, check it out. If not, you will have to pay a mechanic with the proper scanner.
