My 2003 T&C LXi totally stopped moving. No limp mode, just gone.

Reputable local tranny shop has taken it out, and it quoting me about $3700 bucks to rebuild it.

It includes $775 for the overhaul kit and $464 for the torque converter. I feel like those 2 prices are way out of range. Or am I missing something?

I'm willing to pay a little more for quality work / products but. Yikes!

That is really high. I don't know where you live, but they average around 2200.00 to have done unless there was hard part damage. I would get one with a warranty from a salvage yard or get a second quote.

Allegedly no hard part damage. I guess they are just trying to rip me off. Awesome.

OK I called around. I've only been able to reach 2 places. Dealer quoted about the same price.
Another shop around the corder from where it is now is telling me $1200 to $1600 total. He knew exactly which shop it was at, who I was dealing with, and wasn't surprised they we're quoting so high. Anyway, he's anxious to come get tow it out of there Monday. I'm feeling like there's hope but. But should I be overly concerned it's so low?

Actually, I live in PA. Prices range from around 1500 to 2000.00. So, I would say he is being fare. Just make sure there is a written warranty. If you have questions regarding the warranty wording, let me know and I can tell you if there is something to work about.
