My van starts and idles fine. but when I put it in gear (forward or reverse) the engine stalls. It does not stall, however, when I put it in neutral. If I let the car warm up for a really long time (approx. 15 min) I can put it in gear and it is just fine. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ARE COMING ON. I just got a tune up within the last week (new plugs, wires, and a new fuel filter) and it still stalls. I took it to get diagnostics, and the machanic said everything was fine and no sensors indicated any problems. Obviously, there's a problem. I think it's the torque converter. Any Thoughts?

When you put it in gear, does it lunge or just simply die? Also, have you checked for vacuum leaks?

Yes, it has been tested for vacuum leaks. What's even weirder is that now, after 2 weeks of it stalling on me everyday, it doesn't stall anymore. Could it be a fluid overfill or something?

The only thing I can say it may have been a sticking throttle position sensor that is working again. If the problem happens again, let me know.
