Engine Cooling problem
1994 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi,

My town and country was rear ended recently and it in turn rear ended the car in front, resulting in cracked front bumper and a cracked radiator, losing all the antifreeze. I brought it home and repaired the radiator and reinstalled with new antifreeze, no leaks. Car starts fine but the fan is not kicking in. I tested the fan and all three relays and fuses and they all checked out. I understand there is a fourth relay hidden somewhere that I can't locate. Where is it and what other TS possibilities are involved?

Also, I just put in a new transmission but when I hit the gas, the car vibrates in first and second gear, and smoothens out by the 4th or OD. Could it be the CV joint. I did bend it a lot to get it out of the wheel bearing.

Check and test the coolant temperature sensor and the temperature gauge sending unit.

I checked the temp sensor and sending unit. they all checked out. The temp sensor resistance was 10K cold and 900 hot. There doesn't seem to be power activating the main fan relay in the Power distribution box. Any more help?

Its the computer that energizes the fan relay when it gets its signal from the sensor

Try powering the fan motor direct from the battery and see what happens
