My oil light comes on when idleing. It does not when the car is cold, but once it warms up it does at lights etc unless I bring the rpms up to over the 1.25 ok I know it is x 1000 but it's 1.25 on my guage. I had the sending unit replaced and it quit for a while. Once I had my oil changed it started again.
My mechanic said oil pump or engine rebuild (he does neither of these tasks). I don't have money to have both done. How can I know the right one to do. Both are expensive and I need to get the right thing done. HELP!

Hi there,

before doing any thing, get the oil pressure tested with master gauge, this will give a true indication as to the oil pressure, when this is know then a decision can be made.

Try another oil pressure switch
this time order it from the Chrysler dealer parts department
we had so many issues with the after market switchs
and 99% was solved after installing Chrysler part
good luck
