The 6-cylinder engines are equipped with a camshaft driven mechanical distributor, which is equipped with an internal camshaft position (fuel sync) sensor.
Therefore, if the camshaft position sensor fails, the distributor assembly must be replaced.
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the transaxle housing, near the left side strut tower. You may need to remove the speed control servo unit to gain access to the sensor..
