first time it died we changed to fuel pump and it worked but when i tried to start my car up it would have trouble starting and i'd have to pump the gas to get it to fire up. after a week of driving and an hour trip away and back it had died on me 5seconds after having trouble starting it. car wouldn't start up and had it towed to my mechanic. it's been a few days and they still don't know what's wrong with it. Could it be the distributor cap? Starter? im not sure any advice?

Do you hear the fuel pump come On when you turn key on? If not check fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay if so, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light.

Do you have spark?
