Hello I have a 1997 Sebring with the 2.5 V6 motor I started to take out my alternator becasue the bearing in it was making a noise but didnt have enough time so I put it back together for the next weekend I never took the wires off the alternator but when I went to put the wires back on at the ground it was fine but when I put the wires back on at the positive it smokes so I took off the wire, one of the wires go down to the battery in the fender(battery not on top with motor) well anyways I dont know what these wires go to and why it is smoking since I never messed with the wires on the alternator need some help please?
