I'm replacing the water pump and will of course replace the timing belt while I'm at it. I have the top / bottom belt covers removed but I can't get that center mounting bracket out. I have the 3 bolts totally loose but there doesn't seem to be enough clearance between that bracket and the frame. I have the power steering pump loose as well.
Do I need to raise or lower the engine and if so, which is the preferred? I have the 2.4 liter.
