ON A RECENT ROAD TRIP MY OIL LIGHT CAME ON. I CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL AND IT WAS LOW. I PUT IN TWO QUARTS AND THE CAR STARTED SMOKING. AFTER IT COOLED DOWN I CHECKED THE LEVEL AGAIN AND IT SHOWED LOW. I CHECKED THE TRANSMISSION AND IT SHOWED OVER FULL. HOW DOES ENGINE OIL GET INTO THE TRANSMISSION? I'VE REMOVED THE TRANSMISSION COOLER AND IT DOESN'T SHOW DAMAGE. THE ENGINE IS A TURBO.

The only way that happens is if someone actually pours it into the transmission. If you actually got motor oil in the transmission, then you have some serious problems now. Engine oil will destroy the transmission in real short order.
