Hi i was wondering if the battery in my 2002 pt cruiser can fit a bigger battery with more cranking amps. I think mine is 540 cold cranking amps. Well here in canada its gets cold and i want a bettery that may give me more crank in these conditions. Yesterday it got to -30 and i had my blocker heater plugged in and my battery wouldnt turn the vehicle over. Does anyone know of a battery that will still fit but have more crank to start my vehicle in these conditions. I think the battery in the car may be over five years so maybe its time to change. Even last week when it hit -15 the car just barlely turned over and started.

Hi:
You need to get the same "group size" battery, but you need to find which offers the most CCA. The battry size shouldn't make a difference for CCA but it will cause problems when you try to fit it in the car.
