Engine Cooling problem
2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

after replacing water pump and timing belt, engine temp gauge works ok. but engine will overheat before fan will come on, and gauge reads half way. jumped fan as eng starts to boil to overflow, boil over stops. fan was working fine before work was done....???

Check coolant system cap
if fault and holding pressure replace
start engine and let it goes through a warm up cycle then turn off let it cool and check coolant if low add as needed starter engine and adjust coolant as needed
