Electrical problems

I have an 1983 Dodge D150 and I have a wire that keeps melting it is in the charging system cause when it breaks my truck stops charging I have had the altenator check and it checks fine I have replace the voltage regulator 3 times I have replace the battery and I have ran a wire from the voltage regulator to the motor so please help me :( :x ?

Wire melts, sounds like something is drawing too much voltage, check wiring for bad or pinched wires.

I would also see what the output of the alt is, there is a voltage regulator behind the cluster if it is overcharging, do you know what wire is melting, from what location to what location?
