Transmission problem
1993 Chrysler New Yorker 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I can start car fine runs fine but I cannot get the shifter to go into reverse.....It goes into drive but after a few moments goes into a neutral position.
The shifter does not line up to the drive position when it is doing this...nor does it go all the way to the last position on this shifter.

I cannot get it to stay in drive, Have to shut car off and on to get it to go into drive when i go 10 miles and hour it shifts into neutral on me and I cant keep driving it as this keeps happening!
