I had my transmission fluid/filter changed at 75k like the manual suggested. At 141k the stick started to give resistance to shifting from park to any gear. Finding the fluid low I added fluid but stick is still hard to move. Aside from that there is no problems/noises. Does this smell of an overhall?

Hello,

I just read your post and have a similar problem with my gear shift being hard to move. Did you ever find out what it was? I would much appreciate.

This problem may be caused by the shift cable. It can be tested by
removing the cable at the transmission and checking to see if the shifter is still hard to move. If the problem is the cable, it can be ordered from a Chrysler dealer (less than $100.00). You will need the last 9 digits of the vin to insure the correct part.
