1995 Chrysler Le Baron Convertible Top

I replaced the top 5 years ago and it's been too tight ever since. I've left it in the sun to stretch, kept the top on for months - did everything I was supposed to do - it's still to tight. So much so, that I cannot even get the top fastened properly. Is there an easy way for me to losen the top a bit so it fastens?

You probably should have had the installers re-do it correctly, as far as I know convert tops are fitted, and if fitted wrong will always be wrong. Did you ever go back to the installer?
