1988 Chrysler Le Baron 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

1988 LeBaron, manual transmission; Car will start, but idles rough. When I push on the gas, it chokes and tries to stall, have to feather throttle to keep engine running. Strong sulfer smell follows. When placed in gear engine stalls. Error codes are: coolant sensor voltage and AIS circut.

First, check for vacuum leaks and make sure the catylatic converter isn't plugging. If everything looks good there, replace the ambient temp sensor. Chances are it is telling the computer the wrong info and causing it to run too rich.
