I have a 1985 Chrysler LeBaron Convertiable with the 2.2 turbo charged with fuel injection. The electric fan will not run and the car over heats. I have replaced the relay and the temp sensor. I have traced the wiring with no broken wires found. The fan runs fine when hooked up directly to the battery and installed in another car. I have heard that the electric fan is activated by the on board computer. Is that true and how do you trouble shoot it and/or re-program it?

The temp sensor sends a signal to the computer and the relay which inturn actuated the cooling fan. If the relay is good, the fan is good, and the temp sensor is good, the computer is the most likely problem. You can try disconnecting the battery to see if it will reset anything, but chances are it will not.
