I am in the UK and the car is RHD. VIN is 1C8GHB1R52U503968.
My local garage (not a dealer) believes the problem is a worn balljoint in the wishbone (control arm?) But together we are having difficuly getting a replacement. The ball joint is a tight pressure fit into the wishbone. We did source a replacement but it clearly was undersized as it was a very loose fit. 3 questions really
1. Any suggestions as to the source of the correct part?
2. Do I need to get a complete wishbone with ball joint and bushes already fitted?
3. Could the problem be elsewhere in the front suspension?

A Dodge/ Chrysler dealer would be the best bet for a replacement part, by vin# they should be able to help you fnd what you need. The noise may also be the top strut mount. It is sort of a bearing that the strut rides on that allows it to turn in the vehicle, I usually replace them with struts on those vehicles due to failure rate/noise problems. Hve also had tie rod end links make noise on those
