Oil warning light comes on after car has warmed up and I come to a stop and just idle, it goes out when the rpm goes higher than 1,200 rpm, does this indicate that the oil pump needs 2 be replace? About how much would this cost

Hi newsurfer, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation and selecting us as your auto repair site Feel free to ask questions at anytime and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2010

What you need to do here is get a mechanical gauge and hook it up where the oil pressure switch and take readings if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could mean engine bearings and oil pump-Why don't you do an engine thorough flush before you do my suggestion and see what happens.
