Engine Cooling problem
1987 Chrysler Conquest 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

Hello, im having a problem with my 1987 chrysler conquest tsi, I just rebuilt the engine, I bored it to 40 over and I got the crank grined.0010. I just got it together and I im having trouble with the oil pressure, when idleing at about 1000 rpm I have 0 oil pressure, but at 1500 rpms I have about 12 psi, do you know what could be causeing that?

Hi trichard76,

Thank you for the donation.

Either the oil pump is bad or there is a leak between the strainer and the oil pump.

You would need to remove the oil sump to check if the oil strainer is installed correctly and not leaking at the mounted joints between the oil pump.
Ensure gasket is good and the flange surface is level and flush.
