My car was working fine. One day I tried the fuel injector cleaner in the petrol tank. The next day onwards it have starting trouble. The mechanic says the fuel pump problem. Is it because of some kind of dirt block in the pump how can I check it ?

Hi:
Yes it could be a fuel pump problem, but it could also be a fuel filter problem. The fuel pump pressure needs to be checked before the fuel filter. If the pressure is good, check it after the fuel filter.

Let me know what you find.
