I wanted to know roughly whats the "average" repair costs for "Front" Wheel Bearings and is it dependent upon the severity of how bad the bearings are or how far along they are damage wise? I live in Philadelphia Pa. If it helps at all.

Hello,

If you are even the slightess of being mechanically inclined you could do it yourself and save $$$$$.

The bearing is actually a hub assembly, it has 3 bolts plus the spindle nut (what holds the CV Axle in the hub) holding it on.

The hub assemble can cost anywhere from about $108 to $200+ then the labor depending what the labor rates are will probably run around $400 - $600.

Here is a pic of the assembly....
