I have a '98 Chrystler Concorde that I just recently bought and I knew with all the miles there would be some problems; however, I am not getting anywhere with a solution to the problems that are arising. I recently took it for an oil change and asked them to check everything out to see what would need to be fixed.
I explained that when I would be sitting at a stop light sometimes my car dies, it starts right back up with no problems. Sometimes I get a warning like it starts to idle a little wierd, other times it just does it. I notice it happening more after I have been on a bumpy road ( I realize that may just be pure luck) There are also times after it stalls that I pick up speed and it feels like the car is "jumping"/ hesitating. Also sometimes when I am driving at night my headlights and all the lights inside the car flicker, and the heat dies down. I was told to replace the fuel filter, but that doesnt seem to have worked. It doesn't do it all the time and it is random. It drives so much better with less problems when I am traveling at higher speeds and less stop and go traffic. Are there any suggestions as to what I can look into to fix the problem? P.S. I forgot to mention that recently the check engine light came on and I stopped at a car part place to have them run codes and I was told the Cadalitic converter code was popping up, could that be the cause of all the problems???
