When the car idles no miss, changes gears fine but when I reach 40 - 45 mph the car starts bucking.I can accelerate and it accellerates with no problem. Engine light is on and blinks when this happens. Whats going on?

Hi:
Be glad the light is coming on. Take the car to a nationally recognized parts store. Have them scan the computer for trouble codes. I'm sure there will be a code that identifies what is wrong.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

I have been having the same problem with my 96 Concorde. Luckily I've been in the wrenching buisness and have my own scan tool. I came up with a P1597 trouble code which is "Vehicle speed switch always low", or something to that effect. Most likely need to change the input and output speed sensors on your transmission.

Sounds the same with mine 04 concorde. Dealeship was of no help. Have tried injector cleaner, changed plugs. Still the problem keeps coming back. I have a feeling it may be the fuel. It's fine one day and two days later it's back. Engine light has been on for a long time, but flashes when this happens

Have you had your check engine light reset or the computer scanned for codes?
