Engine misfires with no DTC. I replaced plugs, wires, valve cover gasket. Vehicle had flooded cylindars and a blown plug. Compression test would give a false reading due to excess fluid in the cylindars, making the dry compression diagnostic test a wet test. Spark check done on front three cylindars showed no issue, but spark test can only be done at the distributor for the rear three, which I have no adapter to check. My next guess is the timing belt or the camshaft lobes. Any suggestions?

Misfires can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
