the car will be running fine and then suddenly Dies-it will start back up in around 20 min+/- Have been to several garages to get fixed and the latest is: camshaft sensor OR crankshaft sensor.around $500. but he's not sure if thats the problem or not. other mech. say they can't find the problem until it breaks down, they can check it then. anybody seen this kind of problem before?

When it refuses to start, can you do some testing under the hood?

If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs. You can go a little farther, the dark green wire with the orange stripe at the coil pack and injectors, should be hot with the engine cranking. If there no voltage while cranking, that leads back to the ASD relay, doesn't mean the relay is faulty. If the computer doesn't see a signal from the cam and crank sensor, I don't believe the computer will ground the ASD relay.

I believe the crank and cam sensors are hall switches, three wires, ref voltage--ground--signal.

Are there any troublecodes?
