Transmission problem
1993 Chrysler Concorde 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
I have been having problems with my transmission now for the past month. It acts up when it downshifts at stop lights by downshifting very rough. I have also been having problems after you start the car and go to put it into reverse or drive and the car just sits there not moving. i have to play around with the shifter into the other drive gears before it catches and then lets me move. When it does this problem it also won't upshift when going down the road and locks itself into second gear making the RPMS go really high just to make the car move down the roadway. I have talked to several mechanics about this but have gotten several different answers to try. I really don't have the money or the loss of time to have the transmission switched out since i have been told that it could be a week before anyone could do it since they have to pull the whole drivetrain out to get to the transmission.
