I have a 1997 Chrysler Cirrus LX, and everytime i crank it up, it cuts right back off unless i keep my foot on the gas pedal and rev the engine over 1000 RPM's, for about 5-10 minutes. It also putts and jerks while i drive it until the car heats up. What may be the problem? I had the oxygen sensor changed last week and it's still acting up.

Hi:
Is the check engine light on? Also, have you checked closely for vacuum leaks. Finally, when it warms up, does it seem to run normal?

Hi:
If the light is on, I need you to take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan it for codes. Many of these stores will do it for free, so there is no out of pocket. Also, check for vacuum leaks too.

Let me know what you find.
