if my car ran low on oil and cut off bc of it. what would be my next step to get the car back running after puting oil in it. i tried turning it over but there was no spark.

No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs,distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors- Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

is it indeed a safety feature for the car to cut off if there in no iol in it? is there a reset switch or something in case this happens?

There's no reset switch-if your not getting spark the engine will not start it doesn't matter if the oil pan is full or empty of oil.

Check for fuel and spark then get back
