Transmission problem
1995 Chrysler Cirrus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When I try to change gears all the gear selections light up and the car will not go into the selected gear. I have to turn the car off and re-try several times before it will select the correct gear and engage. Is the entire transmission going or is there something else that could cause this problem?

No really, it is controlled by a computer and the computer gets information from a switch mounted up front where all the water and dirt can get to it. In 95, it was called a PRNDL switch. Pronounced Prindel. It's that, the computer, or the wiring. Ok, I think its just the switch, the computer would have went by now if it was that.
