I noticed the car seemed slightly sluggish starting for a couple of days. Last night, I could not get the shift out of park. I get the maintenance checked every 6 mos. because I only drive the car for running errands and going to Church.

The dealership wants to charge $603 to repair the shift. I contacted Chrysler Corp. stating that many are having the same problem with their 300 as indicated on the website. The tow truck driver stated he had 20 customers with same problem and the mechanic stated there is a piece that should not be there which is the one that keeps breaking. The dealership is going to replace the shift column with the same piece that has the potential of breaking again! Chrysler Corp. stated the car (2006 Chrysler 300 with 19,500 miles) does not qualify for a recall, regardless of how many Chrsyler customers are having the same problem. I am going to contact the Better Busines Bureau regarding this issue.
