Drive Axle replacement?

Hello! So, I'm trying to replace my drive axles on my car, and after watching your video and ordering the part off of rock auto. I noticed there was a part that did not come with the drive shaft that was this cup like part at the end that goes into the transmission. I wanted to know if you're able to provide a link, or idea on where I am able to get a part like that? Thank you again so much! There should be a photo below showing the part I was referring to.

Hi,

If you are referring to the round portion, that is a dust cover that is there to help keep dirt away from the axle-bearing seal on the transmission. I would think it should have already been installed on the new one.

I just looked at Rockauto and none of their's have it. The OEM part number for the left side is 25958185. If you look that up, they all have them. I don't believe they are removable.

Have you tried contacting Rockauto to see if they have a solution? It will work the way it is, but you may end up with a bearing seal leaking sooner than later.
