Reverse lights not working

The reverse lights on my van do not work, I replaced the bulbs and checked all fuses, and didn't find any problems there. What other steps do I need to make the repairs needed?

Put key to On position-remove bulb put test light in the center contact-ground test light-do you have power-if not start at the transmission neutral safety safety switch at reverse contact, got power-check the wire between it and bulb socket.

Got power at the bulb-you lost the ground wire.
