Battery light on?

Why would my check battery light go on the off again at a stoplight & then when I was parking my power steering went out and came back?

Sounds like your drive belt maybe slipping or your belt tensioner is going bad. You may wanna have that checked right away.

I dont think so but get an estimate and shop before you have it done. I would have it inspected to make sure that is the problem. Another thing I thought of to is the water pump could be leaking and causing the belt to slip.

Replaced alternator & battery. Battery light still comes on and fan/heater blows normal then slow. What could issue be?

There is a fusible link for alternator thatcould be partially broken or ready to go causing this. There is also a fuse in underhood fuse box i've pointed bothout in arrows, check those.

Also, you should check the connections at the alternator and battery. A loose connection can cause this.

Our battery light was coming on and off and on again. Volt meter tested around 1200 so we replaced the alternator. But now the battery light wont go off. Battery was replaced in 11/07.
Can you please help?

Could be a problem with the computer controlled field generation circuit-see below

I think your on the something. The circuit seems bad and had no current. Now I gotta find which wire that is.

HOT DANG! Thats it! Fuse is ok, it was a Bad wire.
Alright, Now I just gotta replace the wire.

Good grief, and all that after replacing the altenator.

Battery light will not go off in control window where it says door ajar check oil or rear hatch is open, but the car is running good, what could be the problem just got a alternator, and the battery is almost new, car starts right on up when I turn the key

Check to see if the fusible link is burnt up going to the alternator it may be by the starter and check alternator sensing fuse underhood fuse box. Also ign fuse in dash

You likely either broke a drive belt or tensioner for that belt has failed. Which would cause your power steering pump and alternator to stop working. So no help to steer and no power to charge battery.
