power window switch bad. will go down but not up. its cold can hot wire switch to get window up until i can get a new one.

usually the contacts get hot and burnt you can take the switch apart and scrape the contacts off so they are shiny and this will work a while.is the window doing the usual tilting down in the front as it goes up?
