My Chevy G1500 Van has speed control problem. The speed odometer will run up 80 or 100 mile per hour when you are only going 30 mpr. It will then cut off the fuel and slow down and then it will speed up again.
It appears to be s transmission problem. The engine will accelerate normally when it is in neutral. Can you tell me what is going on?

Thank you kindly,

Leo

Is or has the check engine light come on during these episodes? If so have the PCM scanned for any trouble codes that may be stored in the memory. If the computer (PCM) doesnt get a solid speed signal from the trans, it will cause many driveability issues. It may just be a faulty VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor), but I would do a scan to be sure.
