Electrical problem
1993 Chevy Van 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200k miles
Hello...
I have a 93 G20 Chevy Van that is experiencing some electrical problems... that I believe is somehow associated to the power locks. The power locks lock at random intervals. And I think that is what is killing the battery.
This is my 2nd vehicle so I don't drive it all that much.
I had the van worked on, new tires, brakes and a few other things. Then the next time I drove it, the battery was completely dead. I bought a new battery and took it camping. I could hear the power locks locking throughout the night. Since then when the van is left alone for 24 hours the battery slowly dies.
I took it back to the mechanic and they tested the battery over night... said it didn't have a drain on it.
So yesterday I unplugged the locks and it still had the problem.
It may be something as simple as a fuse, but I don't have the manual and don't know where the fuse to the power locks would be... it's not listed on the other fuses.
Any insight would be great.
