My engine is a 5.7 V8. On a cold start it runs fine. As it warms up it begins to run rough with black smoke from the exaust with stalling and will finally quit. It appears to be getting flooded. The check engine lite is on. I have been told it could be the oxygen sensor. It has a fuel injected carb. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

First, your engine does not have a carburator at all. What you have is a Throttle Body Injection system. (TBI). I know it looks like a carb, but it is not. The check engine light is the key to finding your problem. Have your engine scanned and let us know what the trouble code is. Autozone or a place like that will do this for free.
