i replaced the rear brake pads and rotors on my 1999 chevy 1500 pick up. it feels like they are hanging up a little and the rotors are hot enough to melt a ice cube after a short drive. Is this normal?

I would take the brake drums off make sure youre spring hardware is all scure, Could have a spring binding, Plus rear brake drums are self adjusting. If they are dragging, You could have a problem with youre wheel cyl's.
