Chevrolet Colorado Intake Valve Problem

I received a letter from GM reporting a potential problem with the intake valve seats wearing. This is for 2005 Chevrolet Colorado equipped with either a 2.8L 4 cylinder or the 3.5L 5 cylinder engines. They have extended the warranty to 7 years or 100,000 miles for this condition. I have not detected this problem with my 3.5L 5 cylinder truck, but I am concerned if I should take any action at this time. Does anyone know what they do to fix this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like they replace the cylinder head. I read through the information and it says that the customers complaint will be missfires with a service engine soon light eluminated and a rough idle. If your truck does not show signs of this then I would assume that no repair is required.
