Car running fine. Fill up and drive approx 4 hours. Stop in heavy traffic after 4 hours at 50-70 mph and the engine dies. It starts after a couple of tries and I pull off into gas station. Low on water. I fill with water and gas and add injector cleaner. A couple more die and start episodes but gets better. After driving til down to 1/2 tank, I fill up and add more injector cleaner. Drove 2 to 3 hours to home with no problem at all. Next morning I checked water in radiator and had lost none. I left home to work and wife called and said car is up to old trick.

When it first starts after one of these episodes, it runs really rough with a sputtering sound, no power, and cannot accelerate motor or it dies. Advice?

On mine I had a problem simular to this. On mine it turned out to be the ignition coil. Mechanic said it was overheating and once it cooled down it would allow the vehichle to run fine. I believe most parts stores can test the ohmns on it and tell you if its good or not.
