i stopped for gas the other day.after pumping i got back in to leave . the engine rolled over very quickly but failed to start.it was not getting fuel. i noticed that when i turn the key on that the fuel guage needle did not move, nor did the shift position indicator show that it was in park, or any other position for that matter.is that strange or what?this truck has 150,000 miles on it. i recently changed the fuel filter on it . i dont believe it would have any relation to it. it seems more like an electrical problem to me. i have not owned this truck for long ,so i dont know if or when the fuel pump was replaced. is there any circuitry in the fuel pump that could cause this if the pump is going bad OR should i start checking on other things like relays and such.

yeah it sounds like your fuel pump and your relays but check your fuses to.

Best thing is to actually check the operating fuel pressure with a gauge-when it happens it will show.

Any OBD2 Codes popping up, if so pull it out with a Scan Tool.
