1998 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic
Dear Sirs,
HELP. installed a new fuel pump in 454 vortac 1998 and it has a very high whinging noise while the truck is running and does not shut off after start up like before.
They said a direct replacement was not available and said an upgraded model was used for the application due to fire hazard.
Tried removing the relay plug and it continued to run and whine, should the pump continue to work with the relay removed?
what is the fuel pump/oil pressure switch? could that be it? and if so where is it located?
wiring diagram for pump? the orange wire does not have a color match from truck.
