I have a 98 K3500 p/u with 454 Vortec engine, The engine has a missfire in it. I put new plugs, wires, cap in it but I still have the missfire. Copmression is good, I put my Snap-on scanner on it and it say's that #1, 2, 3&4 are missfireing randonly anywhere from 1 to 17 times in 60 seconds, any idea where to look next? ECM, crank sensor or injectors? Thank you for your help.

Try pulling the distributor out and checking the bottom gear.

You probably find that the teeth a worn thin. This is a common problem and I've solved many problems like this one.

The dealership can get just the gear if it needs to be replaced
