i just put a brand new fuel pump in with new filters and it is not working does the fuel tank need to be grounded for it to work or what could be causing this problem thanks

Check to see if the pump is getting power. The fuel pump needs to be grounded.

Power the fuel pump direct from the battery if it comes on-check and test the fuel pump relay and ECM B fuse, if not check the pump ground circuit
