Electrical problem
1997 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I went to start my truck the other day. I started it and put it in gear. When i went to move it shut off. I tried to restart it and i get no power at all, no lights radio or anything. It does not turn over. I tried to jump it and hook it up to a charger but nothing happens. When i open the door there is a clicking noise that i can hear coming from under the dash. if i push the brake in it stops clicking.
about 2 months ago i had the alternator replaced.
