1996 Chevy Silverado Truck 130,000 miles. My truck doesn't want to start it makes a type of clicking noise when we try to start it. Please help, any suggestions would be wonderful. Thank you. I don't know anything about vehicles, any advice would be appreciated.

If the click is a single click when the key is held in the start postion then I would suspect the starter/solenoid is defective. If the clicking is a series of clicks then check the battery and make sure it is charged. Also check the battery cables for corrosion and that they are tight. Did you try to start the car with a boost and if so any luck?
Hope this is helpful Backyardmechanic :)

I did get it started and it was the wiring of the battery. I got a new battery and tightened up the wiring. Thank you for your suggestion. :)
